Water-Year Summary for Site 01553500
Over the next year, the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center will be updating the geodetic vertical elevation (gage datum) for many locations. Click HERE for additional information including a current list of streamgages with upcoming datum changes. This update in gage datum does not affect the location of the streamgage, nor the observed local gage height or discharge recorded at the streamgage.
Flow slightly regulated by 6 flood-control reservoirs, which have a combined capacity of 440,200 acre-ft. Some flow is diverted from the West Branch Susquehanna River by, and for use at, the power company above the Lewisburg gage. Daily discharges determined from slope-adjusted computation using auxiliary gage (01553990) when auxiliary gage exceeds 8.00 ft, gage datum.
Records are good except those for estimated discharge, which are poor.
